Will I be expected to convert?
No. Absolutely not. This is a conversation, not a recruitment drive. We will share, we will listen, and you leave exactly where you were when you arrived - just with a few more answers.
What if my question feels silly or basic?
No question is silly here. The "basic" ones are usually the best - and the ones most people are too shy to ask.
Do I need to know anything about Islam first?
Nothing at all. Total beginners are most welcome. You can come knowing nothing, or knowing a lot - both work.
What if 15 minutes is not enough?
If we get on well and there is more to talk about, we can book another slot - or we can introduce you to our longer New Muslim Support programme (six 1-hour sessions).
Is this really free?
Yes, completely. iERA Australia is a registered charity. Every Islam 101 session is funded entirely by donations and run by trained volunteers.
