The first year after someone takes their shahadah shapes everything. As an iE Guide you are the familiar face who answers their questions, checks in on them, and makes sure they never feel alone. You do not need to be a scholar - just warm, patient, and willing to give a little time.

The role

What being an iE Guide looks like.

You are matched with one new Muslim of the same gender in your area. You are not expected to teach or have every answer - our team is behind you the whole way.

Simply be a friend

A message, a coffee, a check-in. Often the most valuable thing is someone who remembers them.

Answer the early questions

How to pray, what to say to family, where to begin. Anything beyond you, our team steps in.

Open the door to community

Introduce them to the masjid, local classes and other new Muslims, so they put down roots.

Keep the team in the loop

A short weekly update so we know how they are going and can step in where extra help is needed.
